2010-2011: Recovery i powrót Bad Meets Evil.

W kwietniu 2010 roku raper ogłosił na Twitterze:

,,Nie będzie Relapse 2"

Fani zaczęli myśleć, że album w ogóle nie będzie wydany, okazało się jednak że nazwa uległa zmianie.

Zostanie wydany album o nazwie ,,Recovery". Sama nazwa mówi o polepszającej się sytuacji Eminema w życiu prywatnym. 
Marshall miał w planach wydanie ,,Relapse 2", lecz zmienił zdanie :

"Miałem w planach wydanie Relapse 2 jeszcze w zeszłym roku. Jednak gdy nagrywałem i pracowałem z nowymi producentami, idea sequelu Relapse zaczęła mieć coraz mniej sensu i postanowiłem zrobić kompletnie nowy album. Muzyka na Recovery znacznie różniła się od tej na Relapse i uważam, że zasługuje na swój własny tytuł"

Album został wydany 21 czerwca. W USA, w pierwszym tygodniu sprzedało się 741 000 kopii. Zadebiutował jako numer jeden na liście Billboard Hot 100, a drugi singiel "Love The Way You Lie" na 2 pozycji. 

Recovery mimo początkowej fali krytyki za spójność przyjął się dobrze. 
W czerwcu Eminem z Jay Z wyruszył w trasę koncertową do Detroit i NY.Wtedy Eminem został nazwany raperem nr 1 XXI wieku.

W wrześniu Marshall otworzył 2010 MTV Video Music Awards wykonując utwór ,,Not afraid" oraz "Love The Way You Lie" razem z Rihanną. Eminem został mianowany Hottest MC in the game (Najgorętszym MC w grze) przez MTV.

Eminem wraz z Rihanną współpracowali dalej tworząc "Love The Way You Lie, Part II", utwór od pierwszej wersji różnił się tym, że Riri jest główną wokalistką.

Do sieci wycieka utwór Ema z Dr. Dre ,,I Need A Doctor" prod. Alexa da Kida. Mówiono, że kawałek miał się pojawić na nadchodzącej płycie Detox Dr. Dre, jednak okazało się, że utwór ten pozostał ,,wolnym trackiem".

Nowy singiel Eminema "Syllables" ukazał się na miejskich stacjach radiowych w USA. 
W grudniu  Recovery Eminema uznane zostało za moment numer jeden w muzyce w 2010 roku.

W następnym roku ,,Space Bound" zostało wydane jako czwarty singiel z Recovery wraz z teledyskiem,w którym występuje Sasha Grey.
Po jakimś czasie dwa albumy Eminema The Eminem Show oraz The Marshall Mathers LP otrzymują certyfikat diamentowych płyt przez RIAA. To sprawiło, że Eminem był wtedy jedynym raperem posiadającym dwie diamentowe płyty.

W 2010/2011 roku Eminem & Royce da 5'9" rozpoczęli prace nad pierwszym minialbumem jako duet Bad Meets Evil. Duet ten powrócił, powstał w 1999 roku. 
Minialbum zatytułowany Hell: The Sequel został wydany 14 czerwca 2011

W grudniu Studio Leaks wydało minialbum o tytule The Straight From The Vault EP. Na płycie znajdują się kawałki, które wcześniej nigdy nie były publikowane. 
Prawdopodobnie zostały napisane na przełomie 2006-2011.
Niektórzy sądzili, że za niedlugo raper wyda większy album o nazwie  The Straight From The Vault LP, który ma zawierać nie tylko stare kawałki ale też nowe utwory.

2008-2009: Relapse i Relapse: Refill

W 2007 roku Eminem wraz z 50 Centem wziął udział w wywiadzie dla pewnej stacji radiowej. Powiedział o swojej rozsypce i niepewności dotyczącej wydania nowego albumu. Powiedział:

 "Cały czas pracuję, cały czas jestem w studio. Teraz czuję się dobrze. Przez jakiś czas nie chciałem wracać do studia... Przechodziłem wtedy przez sprawy osobiste. Teraz z nich wychodzę,  jest dobrze."

 


Następnego roku Eminem udzielił się na swoim radiowym kanale (Shade 45) w którym powiedział, :

"W tej chwili koncentruję się na własnych sprawach, po prostu tworzę nowe utwory i produkuję więcej materiału. Wiecie, im więcej produkuję, tym lepiej wydaje się, że mogę, bo zaczynam rozumieć pewne rzeczy."

Niewiele czasu minęło gdy wytwórnia płytowa Interscope ostatecznie potwierdziła istnienie nowego albumu Marshalla. Pod koniec 2008 roku Eminem podał szczegóły dotyczące płyty, było już wiadomo że będzie się nazywać Relapse.

"Ja i Dre znowu jesteśmy w studio jak za starych dobrych czasów. Dre zajmuje się produkcją większości utworów na Relapse. Powróciliśmy na nasze stare, łobuzerskie drogi... Zostawmy to tak."

Wiosną 2009 roku Eminem wyznał, że w tym roku planuje wydać dwa nowe albumy. Relapse ukazał się 19 maja, zapowiedzią na album był utwór ,,We Made You" - wraz z teledyskiem ukazał się już w kwietniu.

Ukazał się też nowyfreestyle - I'm Having A Relapse.

Gdy został już wydany album okazało się, że początkowo nie był sprzedawany w tak dużych ilościach jak poprzednie krążki rapera. Lecz nie zmieniało to faktu, że płyta została komercyjnym sukcesem. Eminem zdobył uznanie krytyków, a także poprawił swoją pozycję w świecie hip-hopu. Album uznany został jednym z najlepszych albumów 2009 roku. Relapse sprzedało się w nakładzie ponad 5 mln kopii na całym świecie.

W tym samym roku Marshall wystąpił na Voodoo Experience Music w Nowym Orleanie. Był to jego pierwszy pełen występ w 2009 roku. Występ zawierał starsze kawałki oraz kilka tych z Relapse oraz występ jego zespołu D12.

19 listopada Eminem napisał na swojej stronie :

,, Refill zostanie wydany 21 grudnia. Album będzie reedycja Relapse z siedmioma bonusowymi kawałkami, jak "Forever", "Music Box" czy "Taking My Ball".

 Za produkcję całego albumu odpowiedzialny jest Dr. Dre. Gościnnie pojawiają się Dr. Dre i 50 Cent. Tylko jeden utwór, "Beautiful", wyprodukował sam Eminem.

Niektórzy dopatrują się na okładce kontur Polski, jak dla mnie to jest czysty zbieg okoliczności.
